Lisbon (Cascais) – Las Palmas

4.9 - 14.9 2023 (11 days) — 1450€

Lisbon – Las Palmas takes us far out in the Atlantic Ocean in true Blue Water fashion. The route gives two basic opportunities, one going close to shore and enjoy the Portuguese coast, the other visiting Madeira before heading down to Las Palmas and the Canaries. If we have the time we can also visit Puerto Calero on Lanzarote. This little marina is a favourite hang-out for many a cruiser heading over the Atlantic for the Caribbean season.

The weather for this journey is likely to be warm and windy. We are well in trade wind regions and conditions are depending on eventual low pressures in the central part of the Atlantic. Eleven days should allow us a few stop-overs along the way.

The simplicity of it.

Possible stops:

Lagos/Vilamoura – Madeira – Gibraltar – Lanzarote – Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

We take six crew for this leg.

Stop-overs are always subject to weather and the consideration of the master.

We charge a sailing fee of 1450 € for this trip including:

  • Skipper (mate/cook)
  • All meals when at sea
  • Foul weather gear for all (no boots)
  • Personal safety gear (lifejackets and PLB:s)
  • Mooring fees, Fuel and gas
