Cherbourg to Lissabon is a epic stretch including rounding the Ushant, passing the Cap Finisterre and crossing the Bay of Biscay. It includes lots of dramatic and historic landmarks for seafarers since centuries. After passing the North Western point of the Iberian peninsula, we should finally expect some decent trades to take us all the way to Lissabon and the end of this journey. By the beginning of October we can still enjoy some warm weather in Portugal and we try to do as many stopovers as we can along the way!
This is a true blue water leg with all the proper watch rota procedures and high seas drills. If you plan to crew on a blue water craft or maybe even taking a yacht of your own long distance, this is the perfect opportunity to learn from professionals .. in a professional environment.
We will visit at least two of the following ports:
Brest – La Coruna – the Spanish Rias – Porto – Lissabon
We charge a sailing fee of 1100 € for this trip including:
Not included are flights to and from destination, personal insurance + what you spend ashore
