Set sail on a refined Caribbean passage aboard a Swan 51, a yacht celebrated worldwide for its craftsmanship, balance, and blue-water pedigree. Designed for sailors who appreciate elegant performance, the Swan 51 delivers exhilarating passages under sail with the comfort and composure of a true ocean thoroughbred.

Your voyage begins in the historic heart of Caribbean seafaring: Nelson’s Dockyard, nestled within Antigua. This UNESCO-listed Georgian naval base sets the tone—classic architecture, turquoise waters, and steady trade winds filling the sails as you clear English Harbour and shape a northerly course.

Day 1–2: Antigua to Barbuda – 40 NM
A beam reach of approximately 40 nautical miles carries you to the untouched shores of Barbuda. Low-lying and luminous, Barbuda is famed for its seemingly endless pink-tinged beaches and crystalline shallows. Anchor off a deserted stretch of sand, swim in translucent waters, and enjoy sunset dinners on deck beneath a canopy of stars unspoiled by city lights.

Day 3: Barbuda to Jolly Harbour – Return to Antigua
We sail southward along Antigua’s leeward coast toward Jolly Harbour. This relaxed marina enclave offers calm anchorages and inviting beach bars. The passage showcases Antigua’s dramatic coastline—rolling hills, secluded coves, and steady easterly trades ideal for showcasing the Swan’s responsive helm and balanced sail plan.

Day 4–5: Antigua to Deshaies, Guadeloupe – 45 NM
A 45-nautical-mile open-water sail brings you to Deshaies, on the northwest coast of Guadeloupe. French-Caribbean charm defines this harbor: pastel houses, waterfront cafés, and lush rainforest rising behind the bay. Ashore, indulge in Creole cuisine; afloat, enjoy calm anchorages and warm evening breezes.

Day 6: Deshaies to Îles des Saintes – 30 NM
We set course south for a 30-mile sail to the exquisite Îles des Saintes. These volcanic islets are considered among the Caribbean’s most picturesque anchorages. Moor in the sheltered bay of Terre-de-Haut, explore historic forts, or snorkel in clear, reef-rich waters. The approach under sail, with emerald hills rising steeply from the sea, is unforgettable.

Day 7–8: Îles des Saintes to Portsmouth, Dominica
Heading further south, we arrive at Portsmouth on the wild and mountainous island of Dominica. Known as the “Nature Island,” Dominica offers dramatic volcanic peaks, dense rainforest, and river adventures. Guided tours up the Indian River or hikes to waterfalls provide a striking contrast to the open-sea passages of the preceding days.

Day 9–10: Night Sail Back to Antigua
The final leg is a memorable overnight passage northward across open Caribbean waters, the Swan 51 in her element—steady, powerful, and composed beneath a vault of stars. Feel the rhythm of offshore sailing as trade winds carry you home.

At dawn, Antigua’s familiar outline appears on the horizon. We make our landfall once more at Nelson’s Dockyard, completing a 10-day circuit that blends performance sailing with the very best of the Leeward Islands.
