The Cherbourg is a classic leg with sea areas as the English Channel, Bay of Biscay, The Portuguese Coast and the Northern Atlantic. Not bad for a 15 day trip.
We have done this a few times before and really appreciate every feature as the coast of Brittany with its small seaside villages and outstanding cuisine. You really appreciate a nice family bistro with all mouth watering seafood after a day or so on the water!
The scenery offers some spectacular landmarks as Ile D’oussant, or Ushant, the western outpost and end of Brittany. Or maybe Cap Finisterre with its majestic cliffs? In the south western tip of Portugal we can see Cabo De Sao Vincente where all the famous Portuguese explorers looked out on the ocean for new lands to conquer. In the end, after a five day ocean passage, the silhouette of Gran Canaria rises behind the horizon promising a warm welcome at our destination, Muelle Deportivo, the marina in Las Palmas.
