We have a fantastic sailing program for the Caribbean in the spring of 2021. Each journey will start and end at Rodney Bay, St Lucia and our main cruising area will be the Grenadines in the south. All the tours follow a well proven pattern but we will also improvise if we feel there is a need for it. A typical detour could be a festival or something of interest happening on some of the islands not in our schedule. The sailing itinerary may also vary depending on the crew and their appetite for sailing versus being ashore. With more sailing time we can extend our cruise to more remote islands as Grenada etc. This is something that have to be discussed in advance to avoid misunderstandings. Any deviation from the standard sailing itinerary needs a 100% consensus on the boat.
We will also taylor make two special cruises that happen during the Bequia Music Festival and Bequia Easter Regatta. These fantastic events need us to rearrange a bit and some of the other stopovers on the standard itinerary will not happen cause lack of time. We think both events are well worth the extra time and effort. They are marked as special cruises in our standard sailing itinerary.
The standard sailing itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 Arrival and tour of the boat in Rodney Bay. Get together dinner at Spinnakers
Day 2 Sail from Rodney Bay to Marigot Bay. Dinner at one of the excellent hillside restaurants
Day 3 Departure for Bequia, arrival in the evening. Drinks and dinner at Frangipani
Day 4 We are taking down the pace with an extra day at Bequia. This is a perfect opportunity to use some of our associates at the islands and do some sport fishing or maybe go on a dive safari?
Day 5 We head down to Tobago Keys. Some sailors see this as the end of their journey in the Caribbean. The place offers excellent snorkelling.
Day 6 We spend another day at the Keys and later have a lobster dinner on one of the small islands organiced by the locals.
Day 7 Departure from the Keys and arrival in Mustique. Dinner at the legendary Basil’s Bar.
Day 8 Moving over to Friendship Bay in Bequia. Dinner at Restaurant Bagatelle.
Day 9 We move over to Port Elizabeth in Bequia.
Day 10 A short sail over to Kingstown, St Vincent. This is a bustling Caribbean city with lots to see.
Day 11 Early start for Rodney Bay, St Lucia. Late arrival at Rodney Bay and farewell dinner.
Day 12 Departure day.
The sailing itinerary may vary. It is also depending on the crew and their appetite for sailing versus being ashore. With more sailing time we can extend our cruise to more remote islands as Grenada etc. This is something that have to be discussed in advance to avoid misunderstandings.
